Owner: Helm Builders, Apex, NC Architect: Chet Van Fossen Located in the downtown Historic District of Apex, NC, this 22,000-square-foot building was built originally in 1917 and used as a tobacco exchange and mule stable. The renovation includes exposing and designing around original brick walls, wood floors, beams, and trusses. In addition to being the new home of Helm Builders, the building includes retail space.
